The best of it

Projects

Three of these I’d put in front of anyone. The rest are further down — experiments, tools, and things other devs/math nerds might find intresting.

In development Roguelike Python

Timeless

What if your health bar was a clock? That’s Timeless. You don’t lose hit points, you lose TIME, and when it runs out so do you. So playing it safe is actually how you die! Custom engine, custom room editor, 43,000 lines, and three bosses who each break a rule the game just spent an hour teaching you. I’ll be honest, I should have made this game in a known engine (Unity, Godot, etc), but it was far too late and I’ve learned more than I could ever dream. This game is still being worked on by me and my talented, amazing girlfriend. She hand drew all of the art in the game. Yes, that’s why it looks so good.

Emergent Evolver

Have you ever been interested in machine learning, anatomy, or evolution? Well, Emergent Evolver explores emergent complexity with machine learning. You draw the body, and that’s it — you never tell it how to move! The brain starts as pure noise and grows its own neurons while it learns. Give it a few hundred generations and the thing RUNS. Best part? You get to watch the brain wire itself up live while it works it out. Play with the physics, evolution, and body settings to see what you can dream up and create!

Wheelhouse

OK guys, we all have games but no games, am I right? Well… Game night, solved! Wheelhouse looks at what your Steam Family actually owns and only puts games on the wheel that everybody can launch. No more landing on something one person bought two years ago. Have a party of 5? Set the wheel to five players and the program will sift through all the games you and your Steam family CAN play together!

Everything else

The rest of the shelf

Experiments, coursework that got out of hand, and tools built to scratch one specific itch. If you see something you’re interested in, the reason it’s not public is because I believe it’s too niche, beta, or holds personal data. But if you want to play with something, reach out on the contact page. I’m more than happy to send toys or stripped versions!

In development 3D Puzzle Godot 4

MathVoid

A first-person puzzle game in an infinite black void where the only tool you get is math. Open the console, type a function, and it appears as solid geometry you can walk on. Type a sloped line, get a ramp. Type a sine wave, get stairs. I love this idea way too much. The only limit is you!

Local AI Python

DIANA

A voice assistant that runs 100% offline on my own hardware. I hold a key, Whisper hears me on the GPU, a custom Ollama model thinks about it, and it talks back — and not one word of that ever leaves my house. That was the whole point. This is still under work my end goal is to connect this model to my smart home to help automate my home to save money and learn!

CUDA C

GPU Primes

One of my CS teacher gave us a challenge to build a program to see who could find the largest prime number by the end of the weekend(with proof). Well well well little did my classmates know we are rocking a 5090 at home. So TRDL I won the challenge and now have 61 gigs of prime numbers on my pc now.

Data Viz Python

Network Visualiser

This fun project renders neural networks in abstract patterns. This is purely for fun graphics to watch data networks work in cool ways!

Experiment Python

HexCam

My webcam feed, re-drawn live as a grid of hexagons. This was just a small experiment in image sampling and tiling, but honestly? It looks way cooler than it has any right to. Sometimes the throwaway ones turn out the best.

Utility Python

Image Resizer

Why. is. every. single. image resizer, slow or behind a paywall? This one works great every time, forever.

Raspberry Pi JavaScript One file

Smart Display

The smart display project was something my girlfriend and I did together out of want over need. I have this problem where I forget everything, so instead of learning, I made this smart display. It is an HTML file running off a Raspberry Pi. It auto-updates with our Google Calendar. It sits pretty on our table running its display through a portable monitor. Very fun learning project for the Pis, highly recommend!

Local AI Python Ollama

BLUE

A voice assistant with a hearing problem, and DIANA’s much less agreeable sibling. Blue was a “failed” project. It was a self-hosted LLM for PC commands (open x, look up y, etc etc), but unfortunately my skills were not sharp enough to get an accurate result with voice-to-text, and operating my computer for me was a struggle. I didn’t fully understand how to play with operating systems yet.

Raspberry Pi OpenCV Python

Pi Crawler

A four-legged Raspberry Pi robot that finds your face and keeps looking at it. The camera hands over coordinates, the head pans and tilts to keep you in frame, and there’s a deadzone through the middle so he doesn’t shake himself apart chasing a few pixels of movement. (ask why I did that) Teaching a walking robot to hold eye contact turned out to be the best way I’ve found to actually learn what a control loop is. Also make sure you don’t make him wrong then get mad when he can’t stand up all the way.

Roguelike Pygame Prototype

Gamble Gunner

This was the precursor to Timeless, technically the first game I ever made. Roguelike loop where gambling was the premise. Roll for upgrades if you’re lucky, and if not, enemies are going to be the lucky ones. Fun game, but more of a playground for me than working software.

Simulation Pygame

Solar System

This project was just a model of the solar system. A challenge to make my own true-scale solar system, I often go back and add new things I’ve learned, building it little by little.

Simulation Java Physics

Particle Sim

My particle sim is similar to my solar system sim. Fun ways to test physics for my games, with lots of crazy presets I keep adding to. It helped massively for my Emergent Evolver project as well as Timeless. And lots of niche sims.

Experiment Python OpenCV

ASCII Video Player

My ASCII Video player came from a weird place. I loved some videos I saw where people were turning photos and videos into ASCII format. I tried everything to find one but gave up, so I made my own. It’s how I made my profile picture and some cool videos and art.

Raspberry Pi Python

Pi Weather Monitor

My Pi Weather monitor is a self-made sensor loop with Arduino. It takes temperature, moisture, and pressure measurements and feeds them to my home server. That data then goes to my other projects, like the CO₂ plant consumption project and the Smart Display!

Experiment Small

Carbon Dioxide and Plants

This experiment is currently in progress. It started with another personal question regarding the environment… I wanted to know if it was possible to get plants to consume more carbon under different conditions. We are currently testing the pot design. Please reach out if you want to help with this, or if you want the related CAD files.
